Meet Our Partners


The Providence Friars are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Providence College, located in Providence, Rhode Island. They compete in the Big East Conference (NCAA Division I) for every sport except for ice hockey, where they compete in Hockey East. The Big East Conference was founded in 1979 by the former athletic director and men’s basketball coach Dave Gavitt. On December 15, 2012, Providence and the other seven Catholic, non-FBS schools announced that they were departing the Big East for a new conference on March 7, 2013, it was officially confirmed that Providence’s new conference would operate under the Big East name. The women’s volleyball team, which had been an associate member of the America East Conference before the Big East split, remained in that conference for one more season before joining the Big East for the 2014 season.
The school’s men’s and women’s sports teams are called the Friars, after the Dominican Order that runs the school. They are the only collegiate team to use the name.
Overall, the program consists of 19 varsity sports, seven for men and ten for women: men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, men’s and women’s ice hockey, men’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, women’s tennis, men’s and women’s track and field, and women’s volleyball. The lacrosse team competed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference through the 2009 season before joining the newly created Big East lacrosse league for 2010.


The Cranston Department of Senior Services provides comprehensive services to all Cranston Seniors and their families. Their programs assist, inform, entertain, and enrich the lives of individuals fifty-five years of age and older. The nationally recognized and accredited department, which is comprised of six divisions, aims to enhance the quality of life for Cranston’s older adults. They offer day services, exercise classes, nutrition counseling and much more. Activities are carefully planned to enrich the lives of the participants, to improve self-esteem and feelings of self-worth.


An Honor Flight is conducted by non-profit organizations dedicated to transporting as many United States military veterans as possible to see the memorials of the respective war(s) they fought in Washington, DC, at no cost to the veterans. The veterans are generally escorted by volunteer guardians, who help them on the flight and around DC After landing, the transporting airplane may be saluted by fire trucks and passengers are often met by cheering crowds in DC or upon their return flight home.


Funny 4 Funds is a Comedy Night Fundraiser and exciting way to raise money for a specific group or cause. They provide everything you will need for a successful and profitable event. They offer a 90 minute stand-up show with 3 comedians and the materials to promote ticket sales and sponsorships as well as access to raffle ideas. They have raised money for all causes ranging from medical bills to little league teams.


The North Kingstown Senior Association has, since its inception, been dedicated to enhancing the social, recreational and educational opportunities for all North Kingstown seniors. With a variety of programs offered including day trips, exercise classes, bingo, hi-lo jack tournaments and many more…there is something to enhancing the social, recreational and educational opportunities for all North Kingstown seniors.


A fitness and wellness center offering something for every member of the family ranging from kid’s programs to seniors only classes. Healthtrax promotes fit families for life catering to individual needs in a family oriented environment. Healthtrax offers aqua aerobics in their aquatic center, trainer assisted circuit training in the gym, senior-only discounts on membership and additional senior-specific wellness programming. They also have an adult-only zone with state-of-the-art workout equipment and recreational activities. We currently have two clinics inside Healthtrax.
