Meet the Staff
Matthew Schmidt graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Exercise Physiology in 2013. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Angelo State University in 2016. In Texas, he began working with outpatient neurological, medically fragile, vestibular and orthopedic patients before moving to Georgia. In Georgia he worked in geriatrics with a focus in chronic pain, balance disorders, deconditioning, and dementia. Matthew is certified in LSVT BIG for persons with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders. He is also certified in functional dry needling. His clinical treatment model focuses on a multimodal technique emphasizing well-dosed individualized exercise protocols and implementation of dry needling and manual therapy when needed. His personal interests include strength training, being outdoors as much as possible, writing and playing music, and exploring this new state with his wife, Ashley, and their two dogs, Remy and Bomber.
