John earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine from Westfield State University in 2010. He went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island in 2013 and joined Pappas Physical Therapy shortly after. In 2014, John became a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. He continued his education with Evidence in Motion as an orthopedic resident further enhancing his manual therapy skills having in-depth knowledge of the most current research. In 2016, John earned his OCS certification through the American Physical Therapy Association as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. John is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association including the orthopedic section and Rhode Island Chapter.
In practice, John enjoys utilizing his manual skills and takes an evidence-based approach with each patient. He enjoys working with post-operative patients guided by his clinical training at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. John also focuses on treatment of the jaw or TMJ. John is the Coordinator of Clinical Education for Pappas Physical Therapy as well as the coordinator of in-house education. As a Credentialed Clinical Instructor (CCI) he thoroughly enjoys teaching students of all levels in the clinical setting.
